Foodbowl is a long-running charity Blood Bowl tournament with one clear aim: raising funds for causes that matter to our community. Over the years, coaches have come together around the tabletop not just for touchdowns and tackles, but to support those in need.
- November 2019 – Cardiff Foodbank: £600 raised
- November 2023 – Newport Foodbank: £825 raised
- November 2024 – The Wallich Group: £957.53 raised
This year, Foodbowl 4 was held on 6th–7th September 2025 at Firestorm Games, Cardiff. Our chosen charity was War Child, the only specialist charity for children affected by conflict. Together, through games, raffles, and community spirit, we raised an incredible £525 to support their mission of protecting, educating, and standing up for children living through war.

The Tournament
Foodbowl 4 saw 28 coaches come together for a packed weekend of Blood Bowl, battling it out across six rounds over two days. It was a brilliant mix of tense competition, hobby showcase, and good-natured fun.
To give the tournament its trademark flavour, two unique twists were in play:
Foodbowl Star Players
Every coach was able to select one Foodbowl-exclusive Star Player to join their team for free, with 10k added to their treasury to cover the cost. The roster of available heroes (and rogues!) included:
- Rumbelow Sheepskin
- Puggy Baconbreath
- Rodney Roachbait
- Scrappa Sorehead
- Akhorne the Squirrel
- Thorsson Stoutmead
- Rowana Forestfoot
- Swiftvine Shimmershard
This ensured that every team had a unique twist, and led to some brilliant matchups on the pitch.
Special Rule: Resident Chef
Each stadium at Foodbowl came with its own Resident Chef. At the start of each half, coaches rolled 3D6, and for each 5+, their team gained an additional Team Reroll.
- If a team hired a Halfling Masterchef, the Resident Chef rule was ignored in favour of the Masterchef rules.
- No team could go above 8 rerolls.
This rule created dramatic swings, surprise comebacks, and plenty of storytelling moments over the weekend.
