A Spring Showdown in Cardiff
Caerdydd Cup VI returned to Firestorm Games in Cardiff for another fast-paced day of Blood Bowl action, bringing together coaches from across Wales and beyond for four competitive rounds of resurrection-format play. As one of the regular fixtures in the Welsh Blood Bowl calendar, Caerdydd Cup once again delivered a great mix of competitive games and community spirit.
With random pairings kicking things off before switching to Swiss format, the pressure quickly built as coaches fought to secure early wins and maintain momentum throughout the day.
Format & Gameplay
Coaches were given 1.15 million gold pieces to build their teams, supported by a tiered SPP system that allowed plenty of flexibility when developing rosters. Star players remained an option at an increased SPP cost ensuring teams could lean into bold builds if they wished. As always, plenty of dramatic moments unfolded from last-turn touchdowns to casualty-heavy slugfests, keeping spectators and players entertained throughout the day.
