Duke’s Summer Bowl – 12th July 2025

The tournament will be a resurrection style, meaning all injuries and player deaths etc will reset after each round.

When booking your ticket use the “Book your time” button to launch a calendar, scroll to 12th July, select that date and then “Add to cart”.

Player Cap: 22 players

Food: Food is not included in the ticket price, however hot food and snacks are available to purchase at the venue. Duke’s Gaming is located in Pontypool Town centre and there are a number of places for food. Please note, no food or drink is allowed to be brought into the venue.

Ruleset

Team building

Coaches are given 1,200,000 for the purposes of selecting players, re rolls, sideline staff and purchasing any inducements permitted. This is completely separate from the inclusion of additional skills, which will be covered under the “Skills Package” section.

Star Players

Mega stars are banned:

  • Bomber Dribblesnot
  • Cindy Piewhistle
  • Deeproot Strongbranch
  • Griff Oberwald
  • Hackflem Skuttlespike
  • Kreek Rustgougher
  • Morg ‘n’ Thorg

Star players can be selected once 11 players have been rostered on the team at the cost of 12 SPP per player. Star players that come as a pair cost 24 SSP.

Inducements

All inducements from the 2020 rulebook and Deathzone with the exception of Mercs and Special Play Cards

Skills package

We will use GW tiering 

  • Tier 1 – 42 SPP
  • Tier 2 – 48 SPP
  • Tier 3 – 54 SPP

No player can have more than two skills. 

No random skills.

No stat increases.

Compulsory items to bring

  • Painted team (minimum three colours)
  • Board
  • Rules for what you’re using
  • Roster (printed or virtual)
  • Dice

  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes
  • Best painted
  • Wooden spoon

Schedule

  • 9.00 – Registration & Event opening
  • 09:30-11:30 – Game 1
  • 11:45-13:45 – Game 2
  • 13:45-14:15 – Lunch
  • 14:15-16:15 – Game 3
  • 16:30-18:30 – Game 4
  • 18:30-19:00 – Awards ceremony

List lock

Lists will be locked three days before the event (12th July) to check for any mistakes and let people make relevant changes.

Scoring

Scoring is 3-1-0 with tie breakers as SoS followed by net TD+cas
